Video Transcription
My name is Dr. Linda Liao, and I'm Professor and Chair of Neurosurgery at UCLA. After viewing this video series, graduating residents and early career neurosurgeons will hopefully be able to effectively negotiate their first employment contract and recognize the complex workplace and health system factors that influence their contract. We will also explain the role of the health system and the implications of benchmark data on compensation structure, and how they may vary in an academic versus private practice or employed practice model. We hope that this training will be beneficial and of relevance to our audience, and provide key takeaways for residents and early career neurosurgeons in contract negotiations. Thank you for watching.
