Neurosurgical Focus covers a different topic in-depth each month. Enhanced by color images and video clips, each peer-reviewed issue constitutes a state-of-the-art “textbook chapter” in the field of neurosurgery.

While Neurosurgical Focus is open-access and has been free to the public since 1996, claiming CME credit is free only for AANS members.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this CME activity, participants should be able to:

Describe the pathophysiology and management of common neurosurgical spine conditions at the ambulatory surgery center.
Discuss the roles and responsibilities of surgical team members at the ambulatory surgery center, including preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care.
Describe effective leadership and management skills as they pertain to the ambulatory surgery center.
Identify operational efficiencies required to provide safe and high-quality care in the ambulatory surgery center.
