NSF August 2024: Transitional Care in Neurosurgery, Volume 57, Issue 2
Overview
Neurosurgical Focus covers a different topic in-depth each month. Enhanced by color images and video clips, each peer-reviewed issue constitutes a state-of-the-art “textbook chapter” in the field of neurosurgery.

While Neurosurgical Focus is open-access and has been free to the public since 1996, claiming CME credit is free only for AANS members. Each monthly issue offers 3 credits - earn up to 36 CME annually.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this CME activity, participants should be able to:

  • Develop a better understanding of transitional care and its areas of need (beyond spina bifida, neuro-oncology, and hydrocephalus)
  • Develop a greater knowledge of structural and institutional factors influencing the success of transitional care
  • Explain current shortcomings and opportunities in transitional care 
  • Recognize the the importance of transitional care for each institution and its impact on patients’ health and quality of life
